Your Alpaca Subscription on Android
Last updated: 2026-10-31
Free trial
New Alpaca accounts can try Alpaca free for 7 days. You don't need a card to start the trial.
If the home screen shows No plan on this account, tap Get protected to see your options.
The Annual plan
On Android, Alpaca is available as an Annual plan, bought through Google Play. Google takes the payment, and the plan renews automatically each year until you cancel.
For current prices, see pricing.
Checking your subscription
Alpaca's Settings show the state of your subscription:
- Active: your plan is running.
- Renews on: the date your plan renews.
- Will not renew: you've cancelled, and the plan ends at the end of the current period.
- Expired: the plan has ended.
New phone or reinstalling
There's no Restore button to look for on Android. Your subscription follows the Google account you bought it with. Install Alpaca again, make sure the device uses the same Google account, and sign in to your Alpaca account. Your subscription is picked up automatically.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time in Google Play:
Open the Google Play app
Tap your profile picture in the top corner.
Go to Payments & subscriptions
Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Cancel Alpaca
Choose Alpaca and tap Cancel subscription.
Uninstalling Alpaca doesn't cancel your subscription. To stop being charged, cancel in Google Play as shown above.
Invite codes
Have an invite code? In Alpaca, go to Settings › Invite code, enter your code and tap Redeem.
Alpaca on other devices
Plans are separate for each kind of device. Google takes payment for Android, Apple for iPhone and iPad, and the Mac plan is managed from your Alpaca account. A Mac subscription doesn't unlock Alpaca on Android, and an Android subscription doesn't unlock the Mac or iPhone app.
