Removing Alpaca from Android

Last updated: 2026-10-31

If you no longer need Alpaca on a phone or tablet, you can remove it in a minute. If something isn't working and that's why you're removing it, have a look at Troubleshooting first; there may be a quick fix.

Remove Alpaca

1

Turn off protection

Open Alpaca and use the switch on the home screen to turn protection off. The home screen shows Protection Off, and the key icon disappears from the status bar.

2

Uninstall the app

Open Android Settings › Apps, choose Alpaca, and tap Uninstall.

Cancel your subscription

Uninstalling Alpaca doesn't cancel your Google Play subscription. To stop being charged, cancel it in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions.

See Subscription for step-by-step instructions.

Your account

Uninstalling the app doesn't delete your Alpaca account, so you can sign in again later on this or another device. If you'd like your account deleted too, open Alpaca before you uninstall and choose Settings › Delete Account.
