Uninstalling Alpaca
There are two ways to remove Alpaca from your Mac.
Option A: Built-in Uninstaller (Recommended)
Alpaca includes a thorough uninstaller that cleanly removes all components, including network extensions and system configurations.
Open the About Screen
Open Alpaca and navigate to the About screen.
Run the Uninstaller
Click the Uninstall button at the bottom of the About screen. The uninstaller will guide you through the process. You can choose to retain your settings for a future reinstall.
Restart Your Mac
Restart your Mac to complete the removal.
Option B: Manual Removal
Move Alpaca to Trash
Open Finder, go to Applications, and drag Alpaca to the Trash.
Empty Trash and Restart
Empty the Trash, then restart your Mac to complete the removal.
After uninstalling, your Mac will return to its previous state. No browsing data was ever collected, so there's nothing to clean up.
